What a shame...

It appears that Ron Santo will have to continue to wait. He again came up short in his bid to be elected to the Hall of Fame by the Veterans' Committee, losing out by 8 votes. Once again this year, no one was elected by the Committee, with Santo and Gil Hodges both coming up with 52 votes. Hopefully some day Ronnie will make it. But in the hearts and minds of Cubs fans everywhere, he's already there.
