"I expect you to be Sammy. I don't expect you to fit in."

Ahh... Lee Mazzilli's famous last words. I'm not sure if he (a) knows what he's doing and thinks this approach will work or (b) has no clue the beast he has unleashed by giving Sosa license to "be Sammy". Only time will tell... But telling him to stick out like a sore thumb sounds like a bad plan to me. I will give Sammy props for actually reporting to Spring Training before he's expected to show. Maybe he has learned a lesson and is ready to turn over a new leaf. Or maybe it's all just an act until he decides it's time to return to the Sammy of old.

Either way, I wish that he would just stop answering questions regarding the trade. The back and forth barbs are getting old, though it is about the only thing news-worthy coming out of Cubs camp, which has been otherwise fairly quiet, thus far. So silent, in fact, that yesterday the Tribune did a story on how Sergio Mitre would compete for the No. 5 starting job... I had taken this as a given, but apparently news out of camp is slow enough that they feel the need to state the obvious.

This phrase is simply matchless ;)
